Rosacea is a skin disorder which affects almost 45 million people the world over. Nobody can pinpoint the cause of the skin disease although the gene factor cannot be denied. Rosacea is a disorder of the skin which predominantly affects the facial skin. The facial skin is prone to excessive redness, rashes, breakouts like pimples and even itching and stingy eyes. There are substances which can accelerate the onset of a rosacea outbreak. These are commonly called rosacea triggers and different people have different triggers.
Rosacea triggers include environment and eating factors which may flare up the virus causing the disease. These triggers may be part of everyday living and the person suffering from the skin disorder may be eating this substance or carrying on this activity without even being aware that it is a rosacea trigger.
It is quite a cumbersome task to pinpoint exactly something as a rosacea trigger. Some common triggers of this very large disruptive skin disorder include sun exposure, stress and anger, consuming alcohol, extremely spicy food, cold weather conditions, taking a hot bath, certain cosmetic products, some medicines, skin care products, hot drinks, preserved meats, some dairy products, cold weather conditions, excessive exercising and physical training and certain other things.
Rosacea triggers may be different for different individuals. One substance might be a rosacea trigger for one person while it may not bring about a rosacea outburst in another person. No matter what rosacea triggers are, an individual with this very stressful skin disorder should make a note of his triggers and make sure he keeps them at bay.
